The Hockenheim 354 or 422 range is versatile enough to fit most four cylinder engines. The Hockenheim range can be trimmed to any depth to fit any engine bay / engine. A selection of accessories such as increased depth fuel rail spacers for the back plate to allow clearance on fuel rails, which might extend over the trumpet fixing face, and specialised air inlet snorkels are available. The back plate can be specified at 20mm deep which gives a good air tight seal. If space is tight getting the box lid over the ram pipes and deep back plate then why not fit an inspection panel to the top of the main box and bolt the air box in place through the top inspection lid. The flat back plate option  (comes with 90’ carbon angle brackets to fix back plate to box at the four points) allows  the main box to be trimmed at acute angles for example to fit in a front engine DAX rush or caterham where a tapering in chassis rail would normally fowl the air box.

You can use internal trumpet sock filters (not recommended over 210Hp), internal Dome ITG filters available in 105 or 160mm depth for up to 300Hp, or select a suitable remote filter element.

The 422 XE series is supplied with a back plate and rear facing 75mm or 100mm inlet snorkel allowing for quick and easy fitment with ideally suited to Caterham and Westfield type vehicles. All of our boxes can be mounted on the back plate or if required, mounted on one of the main side faces, with the back plate pointing up as an inspection lid.
