Our range of Carbon Fibre NACA ducts are designed to allow air to be drawn through vehicle body panels (bonnets/hoods, bumpers, floor panels e.t.c.) with a minimal increase in drag. NACA ducts were conceived in the 1940's by the U.S. National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (NACA) and were originally designed for aircraft but grew in popularity for motorsport applications and are now a common site on high performance race cars. The unique shape, starting off narrow that then widens with a gradual increase in ramp angle increases the cross-sectional area slowly so that airflow does not separate and generate turbulence and drag.
All our NACA ducts are manufactured from Autoclaved pre-preg Carbon Fibre for the very best surface finish and material properties. NACA ducts are best placed in areas with high pressure, such as a leading edge and do not work well in areas of negative pressure.
We manufacture NACA ducts that are available with three different outlet diameters; 58mm (including a triple outlet version), 75mm and 100mm and we also make a rectangular vent version. Our NACA ducts are a perfect performance and aesthetic enhancement whatever your vehicle.
The body panel will need to be cut for the NACA duct to sit flush with the bodywork. It is important to check behind the body panel to be cut to ensure that there is adequate space for the NACA duct and duct routing.
For easier fitment, download our NACA duct templates which you can print out to view/cut the body panel to the correct size and shape. The PDF contains templates for the 58mm, 75mm and 100mm NACA ducts.
